    Featured Destinations

    Yellowstone National Park

Established on March 1, 1872, Yellowstone National Park is the first and oldest national park in the world. Preserved within Yellowstone are Old Faithful Geyser and some 10,000 hot springs and geysers, the majority of the planet's total. These geothermal wonders are evidence of one of the world's largest active volcanoes; its last eruption created a crater or caldera that spans almost half of the park. An outstanding mountain wildland with clean water and air, Yellowstone is home of the grizzly bear and wolf, and free-ranging herds of bison and elk. It is the core of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, one of the largest intact temperate zone ecosystems remaining on the planet. The human history of the park dates back 12,000 years. The events of the last 130 years of park history are reflected in the historic structures and sites associated with various periods of park administration and visitor facilities development.

    Jackson Hole

This rollicking cowboy town hasn't changed much since the West was won, with historical architecture, authentic saloons and whitewater river rafting nearby.

    Custer State Park

Custer State Park in the Black Hills encompasses 71,000 acres of spectacular terrain and an abundance of wildlife.
Within the park, you’ll discover a world of adventure!

Favorite outdoor activities include hiking 7,242-foot Harney Peak, mountain biking, horseback riding, rock climbing, fishing, chuckwagon suppers and jeep rides to see the bison.

The park boasts scenic drives such as the Needles Highway (SD 87), which twists and turns its way past towering rock formations and through narrow tunnels. At the end of one tunnel stands the Needles Eye, a granite spire with a slit only 3 to 4 feet wide but reaching 30 to 40 feet in the air.

History and culture also abound. Walk the banks of French Creek, where Custer’s expedition first discovered gold in 1874. Take in a theater performance at the Black Hills Playhouse. Or, visit the log cabin that was home to Badger Clark, South Dakota’s first poet laureate.

    Black Hills

The legendary Black Hills are an oasis of pine-covered mountains on the Great Plains, located in South Dakota. The Black Hills and Badlands are central to the Lakota Nation culture. The Black Hills are home to hundreds of historic attractions including Mount Rushmore, five other national parks, Crazy Horse Memorial, and nine state parks. 450 miles of trail systems can be enjoyed by mountain bike, hiking, on horseback, ATV, or snowmobile, with the natural surroundings of the Black Hills and Badlands an outdoor mecca. Jewel Cave National Monument also offers 173 miles of passageways beneath the Black Hills, ranking as one of the longest caves in the world.

    Clearmont

Clearmont is a small town in Sheridan County, Wyoming, United States. Clearmont provides its travelers a plethora of exploration of wildlife, miles of trails, national parks and monuments such as: Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton Natioal Park, Devil's Tower National Monument and Fossil Butte National Monument. Experience hot springs, touring archaeological sites, rock climbing or ease into the sunset fishing the crystalline lakes. There are activities for all ages!
